Rieti, the villa is located near the village of Torricella in Sabina
in an area dubbed by many as the "new Tuscany".
Just 20 minutes away is the beautiful Turano Lake, and the charming towns of Posticciola, Monteleone & Rocca Sinibalda with its Renaissance castle. Farfa Abbey with its quaint borgo is also close. Greccio, the site of Italy's first and most famous live presepio and enchanting Labro are also nearby.
Sabina is the gateway to some of Umbria's most beautiful towns. Spoleto can be reached in less than an hour. Visit Deruta for ceramics, Montefalco for wineries, and Clitunno for the famous springs and antique market.
The area is perfect for hiking and there are some lovely lakes (Salto, Turano and Piediluco), mountains like Mt Terminillo - only 45 minutes away for winter skiing - and the famous Marmore waterfalls.
